SYNOPSIS

Paradoxically, there are more tigers in captivity than in the wild, where the life of an estimated population of 3200 wild individuals is threatened.
This documentary is a portrayal of Rémy Demantes’
who is one of very few licence holders of captivity tigers in France. He lives with his tigers on a daily basis
and participates in their preservation.

Contributors :
Paul de La Panouse, Park and Castle of Thoiry,  Peaugres Safari,
Michel Klein, veterinarian,
Tom Dieck Junior, circus lions trainer,
Pascal Picq, paleoanthropologist at the Collège of France.

The goal of this documentary is to understand tigers better in order to contribute to the preservation of one of the planet’s most fascinating animal species,  otherwise known as the lord of the jungle.
