FILM PRESENTATION: Dialogue on Religion
An investigation in suburban Paris’ rough neighborhoods discusses the relations between Christians, Muslims and Jews. Local leaders of the three religions - a Catholic bishop, a Muslim imam and a Jewish rabbi - offer their viewpoints.
What has become of the exchange between the major monotheistic religions in these housing projects?
At the height of the Middle East conflict, reconciliation is being challenged and each group has turned inward.
Nevertheless, there are pockets of support and mutual aid. In these amagingly diverse, suburban communities with a large youth population, answers are being found to the wounds of international policy and social exclusion.
Women and men of good will are building dialogue while respecting differences and beliefs. Isn’t recognizing the other’s religion the way for secularism to survive in our societies?
