FILM SUMMARY What can you do when the doctors announce you during the pregnancy that your baby is handicapped, for example Down's syndrome ?
Many parents decide during the pregnancy to abort, or if the annoucement is at the birth to give their disabled baby to adoption. Few couples choose to accept their baby as an ordinary one.
Some other couples, already parents of healthy childrens, have choosen to adopt a disabled child.
This film draws in France, Belgium and Switzerland, the profiles of biological parents who do not want to welcome their disabled baby, as well as families who accept those children.
